ICON Program:

With over 80 million employees in America classified as hourly/gig workers, the cost of healthcare for both employers and employees continues to rise. At the same time, consultants face increasing challenges in providing compliant, affordable, and usable healthcare solutions.

However, many workers still opt out of employer-sponsored plans because premiums remain too expensive.

The Freedom-ICON plans were designed to sit below an employer’s least expensive plan, giving employees access to meaningful healthcare benefits they can actually use — at a fraction of the cost.

Plan Highlights

  • Rates and plans are the same in all 50 states
  • Program is not a MEWA, Captive, Association, or Multiple Employer Trust program
  • Guaranteed issue at the client level — no group or individual health questionnaires
  • Minimum size: 4 covered employees
  • Not Reference Based Pricing — domestic re-insurance of Co-Op plans
  • Participation requirements listed can be reduced (if certain criteria are met)
  • First Health PPO national network for doctors and facilities (owned by Aetna)
  • Product can be written alongside SB/A MVP plans and count toward participation requirements (if other criteria are followed)
  • Additional admin dollars available if a technology or enrollment firm is deployed — these dollars can be allocated to brokerage if services are provided
  • Program can be endorsed through associations, and dollars can be shared with an organization
  • Programs can be white-labeled for associations, franchises, purchasing cooperatives, etc.
